It IS about all that are only looking to government pig's teat to suck on, those that hate this country as it was set up, wanting to turn it into a socialist, fascist nation where all we do is controlled by the government sow............ Reply...
Just to reiterate, this thread is not about me. It's about the wrong-doing committed by those paid by US taxpayers. Reply...
No soldier me. I'm retired USMC. Reply...
"phony soldier", I like that one. Rugby, everyone is starting to see the real you. You're welcome! Reply...
Absolutely I disagree with the invasion and occupation of Iraq. It was wrong then. It is wrong now. Plain and simple.
Peace and Semper Fi... Reply...
The term "phony soldier" was in the media a while ago. Now I have come to see what a phony soldier is, someone that joins with no intention of serving the country, only looking at the benefits HE can extract from the government (us), gambling he will have to do NOTHING to earn that benefit. I would have had a lot more respect for that person, if he disagreed with the mission, the commander in chief, that that person would have left the military, and let the others that have their heart in the cause of freedom from terrorism, and freedom for others in this world, that they would be the ones fighting for that cause. While the "phony soldier" stands at the intersection with his "peace" sign (the footprint of the great American chicken). But to go through the motions just to collect another government benefit is pathetic. Reply...
Rugby, looks like folks are starting to see your true colors. Reply...
"Bush's invasion and occupation of Iraq is wrong."
First of all, it's not an occupation. Our troops are there at the request of the freely elected government of Iraq. Because of this, it does not constitute an occupation.
Our toops liberation the Iraqi people from a ruthless dictator that was murdering them, torturing them, and starving them. The government of Iraq did have WMD in violation of the "international law" that you liberals love so much, plus al-quada had training camps in Iraq and the other Hussein did fund al-quada.
You may disagree with the invasion, but you cannot say that it was wrong. Reply...
Thank you, Jack A. for showing us that you don't know jack... Reply...
......i'm soooooo sick of people that "feel" all they are entitled to from this government are "benefits". Reply...
rugby - ""When one has served more than one branch of the military in other than active capacity one must stay in longer to accumulate 20 years of active service. ""
Your true colors ARE beginning to show. It really sounds like you felt the military was a "safe" place to go to find one of the TEATS of the government sow to suckle on once you "accumulated" your time. No intention of really serving. You didn't expect that you'd have to do anything than play weekend games, and then draw a lifetime pension for the desire of not wanting to serve the nation in a military role. Did you spew the same stuff to your fellow soldiers while in Iraq. I'll bet the vast majority there believed we were there "lawfully", and that what they were doing was not an "occupation".
"Peace"? Maybe you should have joined the Peace Core instead, but I'd bet you'd go after the people of our own country if there was a revolution this overbearing governemnt..............or would at least support it. Reply...
Again, this is not about me. Bush's whole "war on terror" is a scam. Bush's invasion and occupation of Iraq is wrong. Torture is immoral and illegal. Our leaders need to be held accountable for their unwise decisions. Releasing information about wrong-doing committed by those employed by our government (paid by US taxpayers) is just the beginning for justice to be served. Also, some of y'all seem to believe too many myths about our military. Our military does a wonderful job of indoctrinating (brainwashing) youth into perpetuating those myths. I wouldn't reccommend it as a career choice. Peace... Reply...
Who Knows,
Yes, you are right. The purpose of the military is to fight wars and defend this nation. When you sign on the dotted line you are the property of the United States government for the term of the contract. You must do as they say.
The purpose of the military is not to provide income and benefits for people who need a source of income and desire the benefits.
Sorry, if someone don't want to fight wars and defend this nation, the military is not for them. Reply...
You are against the war and you kept reenlisting, your a hypocrite. Reply...
Liberals do not want our troops to use torture because they fear that our troops may gain information that would help save the lives of our troops or that would help them win the war. That is why liberals are opposed to our troops using torture in a nut shell.
Case an point, have you ever heard them criticize Al-Quada for torturing our troops? How about the N. Vietnameset? Not once.
Check mate. Reply...
This thread is not about me, whoknows?. When one has served more than one branch of the military in other than active capacity one must stay in longer to accumulate 20 years of active service. I spent time in the North Dakota Army National Guard before enlistin the USMC. Again, pretty simple stuff when one does not leap to conclusions. I hope we expose every evil deed committed by those paid by our government, and then we hold them accountable. That would be justice. Reply...
